Always use local calculation methods to determine the appropriate water quality flow rate or water quality volume. Once this flow or volume is determined use the below sizing calculators to determine the number of units needed for your project. This system is designed as a LID technology and therefore recommends decentralized treatment. For larger projects multiple units will be needed to treat the water quality flow or volume. Decentralized treatment allows runoff to be treated at the source. This method is becoming preferred over end of the line treatment systems.

(requires pre-treatment and assumes 48 hour drain down time)

Bypass Flow Rates

MWS-Linear Grate Type = 4.28 CFS

MWS-Linear Curb Type = 2.01 CFS

The Curb and Grate Type models have internal bypass as follows. If your peak storm event has a flow rate higher than the internal bypass capacity of the Modular Wetland System - Linear then external bypass must be designed into the configuration. This can simply be done by putting a secondary catch basin down stream.
